##The Scottish Gallery is een galerie in Edinburgh (Verenigd Koninkrijk) waar onder andere werk van sieraadontwerpers wordt gepresenteerd.
Geschiedenis
The Scottish Gallery is opgericht in 1842 door Aitken Dott aan South St. David Street te Edinburgh (Verenigd Koninkrijk) met als doel werk van Schotse kunstenaars tentoon te stellen en te verkopen. Oorspronkelijk luidde de naam Gilders, Framers, and Artists’ Colourmen. Omdat de opzet succesvol bleek werd in 1860 een groter pand betrokken aan Castle Street. In 1897 werd een nieuwe tentoonstellingsruimte geopend onder de naam The Scottish Gallery. Vanaf 1992 is de galerie gevestigd aan Dundas Street. Er worden vooral Britse kunstenaars getoond, maar er zijn ook tentoonstellingen met sieraadontwerpers afkomstig uit andere landen.
Bij verschillende tentoonstellingen worden catalogi gemaakt door de galerie. Deze zijn doorgaans rijk geïllustreerd en vrij beschikbaar op de website.
